Kerosene Lanterns (10) $20.00 each $200.00 total There is no electricity in at least 60 of our churches, and the pastors use these small kerosene lanterns as their main source of light for their evening services and every day life. Every new church that is pioneered has a need for one. Bicycles (10) $60.00 each $600.00 total Their are several pastors who are pioneering new works as well as pastoring an established church. To reach these places they often have to walk many kilometers every week. A mountain bike is an incredible blessing to them. One of the board members, Roy Muargas, received a bicycle about 2 years ago. He travels for many hours on rough roads visiting the southwest churches. 50 bikes have been handed out over the last 3 years because of willing givers from Calvary Christian Church, Maple Grove Assembly, and Faith Tabernacle Church. We really thank the Lord. Medical Fund We are also doing our best to supply the medical needs of the pastors and their families. Medical treatment here is usually quite inexpensive, but it still adds up quickly when we're trying to cover the needs of over 100 families. They often cannot afford a $2.00 Blood Test, or a $4.00 x-ray, and much less the medicine itself. If you can help with even 10 or 20 dollars, it could save a pastor from dying of malaria. Sunday School Materials It is a big help for all the pastors when we have Sunday School materials available for them. We can purchase them quite inexpensively in Manila. It cost about $600.00 ($50.00 per month) to supply all 80 churches with Sunday school materials for one year. We are trusting the Lord to put this burden on someone's heart.
